Real job, proper job, grind

1 02 2010

real job, proper job, grind. a real job is a mundane ‘work-a-day’ job like retail or waitressing; the kind of thing you typically think of struggling actors doing whilst they wait for the big time.
whilst you’re there you talk about your proper job. the one you will get once your portfolio is more polished or your CV gets to the right people.
Once (if) you get your ‘proper’ job, it doesn’t quite feel real.
