Game diary

4 04 2014

Today I played a fair few games because of people talking on Twitter. Puzzle Rogue-like Nightmare Co-operative (because someone asked Jon Bro where his Twitter avatar is from). Minimalist puzzle game Stickets because of this article about negativity in language and Monument Valley because it’s very pretty and people are taking screenshots of it due to that being built in to the game. Not that it is polite to describe a game by comparisons, but I can’t help but think that this game of the moment feels like a cross between Windosill + Wunderputt + a smidge of Sword & Sworcery. Mainly it’s an M. C. Escher inspired puzzle with a bit of story.
